Pictures for vision board
A vision board is an assemblage of photos/pictures/statements of your dreams and goals, which you would like to achieve in your life.
By creating a vision board you will have exactly what you want to manifest in your life.
A vision board is there to crystallize your goals.
By building it and watching it regularly, you will subconsciously anchor your will to get what you want.
So subconsciously you will start to do things to get what you want on this board.
Be careful, this does not mean that you will have nothing to do and that everything will fall over you from the sky.
This table is only a support and an invaluable help to motivate you, you will have to work on achieving your goals if you want to see them materialize in your life.
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is a powerful tool that allows you to visually represent your dreams and goals.
It is an assemblage of photos, pictures, and statements that serve as a constant reminder of what you want to achieve in your life.
By creating a vision board, you are bringing your desires into focus and activating the Law of Attraction, which states that like attracts like.
In other words, by visualizing your goals, you attract the circumstances and opportunities necessary to turn them into reality.
The Power of Visualization
Visualization is a technique used by many successful individuals to enhance their performance and achieve their goals.
When you visualize, you create a mental image of yourself already possessing or experiencing what you desire.
By vividly imagining your desired outcome, you engage your subconscious mind and align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with your goals.
This process helps you build a strong belief in your ability to achieve what you want and increases your motivation to take the necessary steps towards success.
To Select Pictures for the Vision Board
Before the enthusiasm wins you over and you start collecting pictures that you find cute, it is convenient to organize things.
I recommend you follow this short guide step by step so that your vision board works for you.
So this way you are going to pick the best pictures for the vision board.
Step 1: You need goals
Well yes, this is the basis. The majority of us know more or less what we want, but we shouldn’t stop there.
Take the time to think about what you want. Moreover, we are in no hurry, allow yourself weeks or months if necessary, to have clear ideas about your goals.
Say you tell me you want a car. This is very good but it is not enough. Ask yourself, “What colour will it be? Which brand interests me the most? Which model do I like? What additional options do I want to have in my future car? ”
The interest is to have the most precise image possible of what you want. Once you have answered all these questions, and you have the specific thing you want in mind …
Find an image (in a magazine or on the internet) that best matches this, and keep it aside for your convenience. Board.
You need goals in these 4 main areas:
- Equipment (car, house, income …)
- Emotional (getting along better with friends, living as a couple, starting a family, becoming Zen …)
- Self (ideal career, self-confidence, passing an objective or an exam …)
- Meaning (move forward in your spirituality, find a humanitarian goal, develop your creativity …)
So the car in the example above falls into the Hardware area. To have a balanced vision board, you need at least one goal in each area. If you don’t have ideas for some goals, you can read or re-read some blog posts.
And again it will be a question of being as precise as possible for these objectives, and then to find images which correspond to them to hang them on your board.
Don’t overload your board with hundreds of images, either. You don’t have that many goals, focus on the essentials and cut out the superfluous, what you don’t want.
Don’t be ashamed to put all the pictures you want on this board. It is up to you, if you want to have this or that character trait of a famous person you can pin his portrait on your board.
If you are interested in a specific apartment, take a picture of it and paste it on it. If you want to learn how to play the piano, insert a photo of a piano you would like to play on.
Also a very important thing… Don’t forget to add your photo to the board! Yes, you are the centre of it all.
Take a photo of yourself smiling, feeling happy, as if all of those things you wish have already happened in your life.
Step 2: Build the table
Well, now that your goals are clearer and you already have the pictures related to them. It’s time to create this famous painting.
First of all, you will have to choose a certain format for this table.
- Not too big, otherwise you won’t be able to see all of your goals at first glance.
- Not too small, because you won’t be able to hang everything you want, and it can quickly become very cluttered.
- I therefore recommend a table of classic size 40 x 60 cm.
Of course, you have the choice to use something else entirely as a support. Your board can be cork, magnetic, paper… Or in electronic format thanks to Pinterest / Canva, a web page/blog, or even a simple private document on your computer.
So choose the format that suits you, and that you will be able to see and update regularly.
For this, you can decorate it, paint it the colour you want. Invest in it. After all, there’s no point in making a vision board that you’re no more interested in than that.
Step 3: Organize it all
First, take good care to inspect the images you have chosen so far.
They must make you want, and match your desires. If you want to be taken for a certain job, take a typical image of an office, of the company that you want to be hired for.
These images must catch your eye and interest you 100%.
Little extra tip: Next to the images you will hang on your board, it is also interesting to put some inspirational words on them, quotes or phrases that motivate you.
You can write your affirmations or find some on the internet. Repeat these positive phrases every day whenever you see your board.
If you want to motivate yourself to exercise, you can put something like: “Every day I feel more and more sporty”. Only use positive affirmations in the present tense, and never negative phrases which, by “I do not…”, your unconscious is very sensitive to it.
You can now hang all these images of your goals, I advise you to group those that share the same theme (Material-Emotional-Self-Sense) in each corner of the table and reserve a small place in the centre to put a photo of yourself smiling and happy.
If you are making a physical painting, tie all the elements together with something easily detachable. No strong glue or scotch tape, instead prefer easily removable pins, because your goals may change over time. If you are doing an electronic version, don’t forget to save your file and make a copy!
Another interesting thing is to take an interest in the bottom of the table. If you are looking to achieve vigorous goals, like building muscle or competing, then use a red colour in the background (this is a bright colour that will inspire you to take action).
If you want to be zen and gain peace in your life, use a calming colour like sky blue.
Step 4: Use the table
First, put the board where you will see it every day. You have to walk past it regularly.
There is therefore no point in stashing it under your bed. Of course, if you’d rather keep your painting private, you don’t have to show it to everyone and hang it in your living room.
The goal is that you always have access to your board, so don’t put it somewhere where you will forget it. If you have an electronic version, you can keep it private, most websites and blogs allow this.
Look at your board regularly. Spend at least 5 minutes a day carefully viewing its contents and focusing on the pictures. Don’t just take a look!
Do not read positive sentences in your head either, but out loud and with conviction.
The effect is not the same. There is no shame in doing it. After all, if you don’t believe in yourself, who will?
My board is ready, what next?
The vision board should push you to act, to take the steps that lead to your goal. For this, be sure to also put motivating images to achieve the different steps that lead to your goal.
A person training if, for example, you want to succeed in a marathon. Or someone else studying, if you want to pass your exams.
So don’t just put pictures of your achieved goals. Having a representation of the process is also very important.
Also, don’t spend too much time daydreaming about achieving your goals, that’s not how it works. Do not spend more than 5 minutes looking at your painting.
Your goals won’t happen on their own, and your board is just a tool to remind you why you need to get up in the morning and organize yourself to do what you want.
Your picture should therefore push you to action and not to passivity. So, as soon as you are done realizing it, get down to business. This is the best way to move towards your goals.
